Implantology is perhaps the most basic prerequisite on a CV of a modern dentist. In recent years, an increasing number of doctors are seeking to practice Implantology which is inextricably linked to Periodontology and Oral Surgery.
The use of implants in dentistry is not always a detailed part of the material covered in undergraduate studies. The elderly population is growing steadily and the need for therapeutic solutions for fixed teeth by using implants is increasing. Therefore, many dentists want to learn more about the use of Implantology when treating their patients by taking a short course in this field.
This Master’s program is taught in two ways, an online theoretical course and participation in-person course. Both are taught by experienced tutors and clinicians, one week per semester where participants will be able to learn and master the general applications of Implantology techniques and treatments.
Dentists actively participate in a hands-on practical skills learning program which gives them the opportunity to better understand all the contemporary implant techniques, GBR, GTR and to be able to successfully tackle complicated cases in Dental Implantology.
The program is aimed at qualified doctors, who upon having completed this course will have gained solid knowledge in this field and will have mastered all of the appropriate advanced techniques.
The tutors all of whom have a background in clinical applications and innovations, come from the best academic institutions, and are willing to share their pioneering knowledge with students.
Master in “IMPLANTOLOGY APPLICATIONS IN DENTAL SCIENCE”
The duration of this course is for 2 years with 120 ECTS.
The course of study is divided into 4 semesters and is a combination of 3 modes of study all of which have to be completed.
Theoretical online education
The postgraduate students are taught by attending lectures given by many international tutors online.
Projects, assignments, and PowerPoint presentations.
In-person practical training
Students will learn in practice by participating in a hands-on environment. They will also be asked to perform different techniques in GBR and GTR as well as different types of growth factors and stem cell applications and to handle difficult and complicated clinical cases.
This is the part that makes the doctor a leader in his field and equips him with the necessary skills to be able to handle and treat difficult cases.
The third part, Research Track
This is a unique part of this postgraduate program. Students will be asked to review the literature as well as complete an individual research project. They will also prepare a thesis related to their research, which they will defend orally. Graduates of this Master’s program will be trained professionals with very good theoretical and clinical knowledge in the specialization of implantology, confronting not only simple but also complicated case techniques and concepts.
We believe that the program bridges the gap between theoretical and clinical education regarding the applications of Implant Dentistry and empowers clinicians to successfully place implants within their clinics. It is important that upon the completion of this course that our clinicians have a thorough understanding as to be able to make the right decisions when dealing with these types of cases.
As a result, they will be in the position to implement the right practices with less stress and in a more enjoyable manner. Furthermore, clinicians will understand and appreciate how to provide better care for their patients. We strongly believe that this is a challenging program in these areas of dentistry.
