Program Overview

Professional Dentists all have to go through rigorous training in which they gain theoretical and clinical competence in five or six years. In-depth skills are taught in dental schools, from differential diagnosis to analysis and rehabilitation of various cases. However, it is not possible to integrate advanced special training and the continuous development of new technology in Endodontics into an already demanding theoretical curriculum. As a result, after graduating from university, dentists want to extend their knowledge in postgraduate programs in this field.

Recognizing the gap between the bachelor’s and the postgraduate education of the strategies and knowledge required to be a successful clinical Endodontist, we are launching a Diploma program to help dentists reach the next level of dental excellence.

Courses Overview

The course of study is divided into 2 semesters. It has two different modes of study of which the completion of both is required to be awarded the diploma.

Theoretical online education

The postgraduate students are taught by attending lectures given by many international tutors online. The theoretical part of the course provides the students with in-depth knowledge in the following
areas:

Clinical and radiographic diagnosis
Case management
Introduction to pulp histo-pathology and endo-perio diseases
Knowledge regarding root canal preparation techniques
Filling materials and techniques
Endodontic instrumentation

In-person clinical education

The in-person courses and workshops provide the students with basic clinical training. Students will be given the chance to work on extracted teeth. Students are trained in endodontic treatment planning and case discussion and to fill in and refer to
Difficulty Assessment Forms. Endodontic treatment includes root canal preparation whilst using state of the art rotary instruments and root canal filling using the lateral compaction technique.

This is the part that makes the doctor a leader in their field and equips them with the necessary tools, so as
to be able to handle different kinds of cases by implementing Endodontics techniques and devices.
